 JULIE 0:05

Do you have something in your life right now that you need God to tell you what to do?

Did you know that God commands you to ask Him for wisdom?

We see it in James 1:5 which says, “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”

In the original language, the Greek tense for ASK is a command.

In other words, God isn’t merely suggesting that you come to Him for wisdom. No, in fact, He commands you to ASK.

God can give you wisdom for anything you need like how to pay the bills, or how to handle a situation with a loved one, or even wisdom for your business.

Another cool insight into this word ASK is that, at the time of this writing of this letter, the word ASK meant to be adamant in requesting assistance. It gives the idea of approaching a superior with respect and honor and making your request AND (get this here) fully expecting to receive what you’ve firmly requested.

And what are we firmly requesting here in this verse? Wisdom. Not a million dollars, or a new house, or a new spouse. Lol. We are asking God for wisdom - Which God gives us generously without finding fault.

Meaning that, God doesn’t look at your previous foolish choices and decide that you don’t deserve wisdom from Him. How cool is that? Just imagine, the God who created everything in this universe is commanding you today to ask God for wisdom for any situation you have, no matter how big or small, and He will give it to you generously regardless of your past mistakes.

And that’s The Simple Truth.
